Everyone has a favourite season and mine is autumn. I just love the warm colours set against the green leaves of the evergreen plants and the glorious soft light.
I was stunned by the variety and tang of the colours of the autumn leaves on a silver birch on a bright day in Northumberland. I have tried to capture this in the picture. You can tell it is autumn because there are ‘cones’ of seeds, and the start of next years catkins. Mounted above a white board allows the coloured images of more leaves shining through the glass to add to the effect. 30 x 40 cm. Board mounted (50 x 60 cm). £320 |

I noticed autumnal leaves floating gently on a local stream, over the pebbles beneath. The bubbles in the glass make it look more frozen, although there are ripples on the surface. It is mounted over tinted mirror to shine more light through the leaves and show their veining. 14 x 14 cm. Board mounted (30 x 30 cm). £80 |
